Merry Christmas & A Question About What’s Next

Hi everyone,
As we approach the end of the year, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for journeying with me through John in this newsletter. It’s been a privilege to share these devotions with you, and your encouragement and engagement has been a great source of encouragement for me. I hope you have benefitted spiritually from these devotions - I have certainly benefitted from writing them!
With Christmas around the corner, I’ll be putting a pause on this newsletter from now until I return from leave on 27th January. This break will be a time to rest, reflect, and recharge.
During this time I’m taking this opportunity to consider what the best way forward for the devotional might look like. When I started this devotional in February, I had only my previous project (Garden to Garden City) members as subscribers. This amounted to around 200 people. Now this devotional has 730+ subscribers, with each devotion being read by around 400 people on average. The question is, how do I serve you best going forward?
One thought I’ve been mulling over is whether to evolve the newsletter into a podcast only mode? Or would you prefer it remain in text form? Is a daily devotional best? Or would you prefer a weekly deep dive into a larger section of scripture?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so if you have ideas or preferences, please feel free to vote with the poll above or to let me know by email before the new year.
In the meantime, as you celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth, may your hearts and homes be filled with joy. I look forward to reconnecting in January, refreshed and ready for whatever lies ahead.
